Problems with content on the wiki

It is important that all information on the wiki is accurate, consistent and formatted well. However, this requires the help of both wiki users and editors alike. We have added certain categories that can help editors find pages that require attention or improvement.

If you have found a page on the wiki that you feel is not up to standards, please follow the guidance below. You will need to have an account on the wiki before you can make these changes, but it takes less than a minute to register.

You find that a page is not concise or useful enough

Readers: Edit the page and add "CategoryExpansionRequired" to the bottom of the document with the other page categories. In the box titled "Please add a note on your edit", explain that you have added the category and, if possible, any reasons why.

Editors: Consider adding detail to the explanation on the page, improve existing examples or add new ones. If you feel it helps the article, link to other pages on the wiki, for example, explaining opposing functions (base64encode vs. base64decode, for example).

You find a page explaining deprecated functionality

Readers: If you are not sure if a page is explaining irrelevant functionality, post in the Comments section that you think the functionality may be deprecated and add "CategoryReferToComments" to the bottom of the page with the other page categories.

Editors: Verify that the functionality is deprecated, and if so, add "CategoryDeprecated" to the bottom of the page with the other categories. Remove the page from "CategoryReferToComments" if it has been previously added to that category.

There is a dispute about the quality or accuracy of a page

Readers: Post your concerns in the Comments section at the bottom of the page, and if someone else has not already done so, edit the page and add "CategoryReferToComments" to the bottom of the document with the other page categories.

Editors: Consider the arguments in the Comments section and update the page accordingly. If you are not sure on a solution, seek advice from Skyld or other wiki editors.
